Morning ceremony in Iranian schools

It is common in Iranian schools that when the students go to schools in the early morning, the manager of a school speak for children every day about 20 minute in several topics such as school programs or problems, lesson plans, social issues and the occurred events of that day.
Most of times, many children do not like to hear these lectures and some time they are tired. However, many teachers and managers very interested to have a lecture for children each morning and it is hard for them to leave it. One day , when I have a seminar for managers , one of them said : one of the students wrote a letter for me and he asked me don’t speak in the morning and I said why ?the student said when you speak in each morning , our class time was decreased and we cannot have a sport and play. After talking I decide to start extensive researches about what really are favorite children in each early morning in our schools? Or in other schools, what do children do in each morning in their schools? If you ( dear readers) have any information please share me .

A week ago I come back at home and the seminar was ended in Tabas city.
Despite all my worry about holding this seminar, it is so good and I think most managers were humored. In his seminar 44 mangers from primary and middle schools of Tabas were participated and it was performed in 12 sessions. Sometime I am afraid that I could not accomplish my duty and could not understand my opinion to managers and perhaps, they were amazed. The main topics were:

Why children like learning but they do not like go to school?
Why the architecture of our schools is similar to each other?
Teaching model in our schools is “cells and bells”
History of architecture of schools in Iran
Classroom and changes the form of classroom over time
Common form and design in school architecture in recent 120 years in Iran .
Corridors and changes the form of them over time
The problems of disabled student in Iranian schools and the problems Comprehensive Training plan in public ( ordinary)  schools
The role of courtyard and closed connection between interior and exterior spaces in Iranian schools in the recent years.?
In what places Children feel comfortable? Where children sit in our schools? Are there any suitable places for sit children?
Types of intelligences and the theory of multiple intelligences by Helen Gardner
Types of teaching methods and its relation with types of intelligences
The relation between types of teaching methods with school design
Connected to community
The connection between school and parents
Teamwork is success code of a school

7sin Table

At first, Happy Noroz . I will hope that all Iranians in the world have a promising and fulfilling New Year.

A family of mine told me a thing in the afternoon. he, Ali - 10 years, reluctantly said me ” I do not like to go to school in the last days of this year because the holiday (Noroz Vacation) is near “. I deeply thought that why All children like learning, But do they really like school?
In Iran, in last days of the year, all children dislike to go to schools and they like to increase holiday period and managers and teachers, because of pressures and laws of Ministry of Education, have no choice and make to participate children to schools.
Before we try to convince a child to go to school and enjoy it, we must look at the conditions there. Are school systems set up for learning to take place? Or are the children bored, frustrated, scared (of failure, or punishment etc.),uncomfortable, made to feel stupid, forced to learn things that mean nothing to them, crammed with excessive curricula, and punished by unfair testing?
I think that there are several aspects which we have been unaware of them and one thing is the features of Iranian learning environments. When we build schools like a Box model, our children do not like to spend their time at schools. If we create creative and attractive programs for children when last days of the year arrives, we will have not discontents among them. For example , in last days of a year, we can make Haft Sin table in our schools, which our children are involved in this activities and are given beautiful gifts which it will be a good memories for them. We should create opportunities for children to take more pleasure and of course school design should be a way that creative activities are done easily.

Small Learning enviroments in different regions of Iran

Kalo School in boushehr

The road to Iran’s tiny Kalou village is being laid in honor of its elementary school, now recognized by UNESCO as the worlds smallest.Kalou is a tiny village situated 180 kilometers from Bushehr in the south of Iran; its population is made up of 34 people - seven families.Kalou’s school has four students; two boys and two girls, taught by their enthusiastic teacher Abdol-Mohammad Sha’raani. He put his plans for further education on hold to teach in this village.
It was Sha’raani who introduced the school to the world through his Web-log. Now the school is internationally recognized. If you want more details about this school please see this web.
BUT WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS THAT:
We have many small schools which have only 4,6 or 8 multiage’s  students that teach in one school with one teacher through Iran. For examples: In Sistan & Balochestan, south Khorasan, Kerman, Bandar Abbas and many remote regions. I want to call these schools CLC which means Center Learning Community and in other aspect they are SLC which means Small Learning Community. There are many advantages when we use small learning environments as Mrs. Victoria Bergsgel said in her book, Architecture for Achievement: Building Patterns for Small School Learning, such as: sustained relationship among students and adult, human scale, safety, lifelong fitness and connection to community.
I would like to see this book and I hope that it will reach me.

Every year, in the first days of year, a group of Mofid High school graduates in Tehran went to deprived areas and help to people in several works such as construction some buildings, educational services, Health services and cultural services. Some of students play with rural children and teach them how painting, making things, and how like their villages.
Next week, I will leave Tehran and travel to the city of Tabas, with the following coordinate (33 55 39 68 N and 56 55 21 33 E) you can see more detail and search in Google Earth, of course we will stay in the Coreit village near the Tabas city .The Weather is warm and I will held some seminars for managers of Tabas city (more primary and Middle schools). The purposes of this seminar are that the managers understand more information about the impact and role of learning environments on learning, teaching in our schools. This trip take 15 days, and I hope that I will have most effect on managers and knowledge to their.

Iranian school, Iranian architecture

This title was the name of the conferences which was held in previous week. Seminar speakers were Mr.hadaad Adel and Mr.Raeesi, Head of state Iranian organization of school, and Dr.hojat, professor of Tehran University.
All the persons in the seminar were architects, students of architect and organization employees. This seminar was forth seminar which was embrace each year and I think that it is useless, because they have forgoten the main purpose of holding conferences.  The state Iranian organization of school is the only responsible to build suitable and appropriate school throughout Iran and we see the inefficiency of their performance for the reason that we see many schools which is like Box model that have no creativity, unique and effective Iranian learning environments.

when we do not think school design and the feature of school architecture and only quality of construction rather than quantity is so important for us, we cannot have suitable school like what we had in past.
I think that when we could build a suitable and creative school, we should emphasize to “learning” and how children be trained in our schools.
At last, Dr.hojjat blamed and criticized from the performance of organization and he was opposed every architect and every one go into the organization and design schools like what we see in our community and he suggested that we should form a group who are consist of successful students of architecture and young architects that are interested to work in fields of learning environments and Iranian schools and finally they can and are able to design  good schools.
